Monkey off My Back

Finally after knitting and ripping 3 times, I have finished The Perfect Tee. Now I just need to make a skirt for a new outfit.

New Knits

Slowly but surely, I am finishing some of my many UFOs.

This is a quick knit. It comes from the UK's Simply Knitting Magazine. The pattern is still available directly from them for about $11. I noticed that the patterns are going for over $20 on e-bay.

Pattern: Alan Dart's Gnomes
Source: Simply Knitting
Yarn: Various yarns out of my stash.
Note: The beard was made with Lion Brand Fun Fur. On the next gnome, I will use 2 strands knitted together.
Color: Body: camo; Hat, mitts, boots: cream; Beard: white; Face: peach
Needle: 3mm & 6mm

Modification: Instead of using hair spray to stiffen the end of the hat, I used a pipe cleaner.

Pattern: We Call them Pirates

Source:HelloYarn.Com

Yarn: Plymouth Encore DK

Color: Black (1), White (1)

Needle: US3

Note: This is the first fair isle that I have ever done. My stitches were way too tight, so the adult hat became a childs' hat. I have started another but I am using US6 needles this time. Also, I didn't like the look of the provisional cast on and lining. On the second hat I am using a 2x2 rib. We shall see if this works.
